Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Erwin Tulfo said the agency may open its doors on weekends to accommodate people and families wishing to apply for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

"We will open the gates of DSWD, as this initiative aims to accommodate single parents, poor households, farmers, fishermen, and individuals who wish to be included in the 4Ps," Tulfo said.

As the National Household Targeting Office (NHTO) continues to complete the guidelines, the application schedule and other important information have not yet been made public.

The DSWD emphasized that the profiles of individuals and families who will apply are still subject to validation and verification by DSWD personnel to see if they qualify as "poor" according to the criteria set by the Listahanan or the standardized targeting system.

According to Rule 5 of the program's Implementing Rules and Regulations, or the Selection of Qualified Households and Criteria for Eligibility, Listahanan serves as the DSWD's basis for choosing qualified household-beneficiaries for the 4Ps.
