The 2022 Philippine Heritage Society Ball (PHS) and Filipino Heritage Awards held at the Fiesta Pavilion of the historic Manila Hotel was a huge success made possible to the untiring efforts of PHS founders Sherwin Sozon, Tess Castro, Nathan de Leon and the PHS Committee Chairman Mache Torres Ackerman.
Unlimited coffee by Curve Coffee Collaborators and cocktails by Destileria Limtuaco were served as guests arrived at the reception area.
Kudos to Carmen Afzelius of Floral Fairy for the beautiful floral table arrangements and tastefully styled the entire ballroom.
LyrOpera artists Randy Gilongo, Calie Ng, Nina Campos, Bernadette Mamauag, Sherine Ann Koa, Eden Dumlao, and the Philippine Tenors serenaded the guests throughout the evening.

The following were the highlights of Philippine Heritage Ball: PHS members and their partners took the dance floor to the music of "Tanda de Valse," composed by Jose "Pitong" Ledesma and choreographed by Dalah Pia. This was followed by the presentation of the Heritage awards to the owners of Sarao Motors (Awardee for Design), the owners of Aristocrat (Awardee for Service), Lisa Macuja-Elizalde (Awardee for Dance), Atty. Dominador Buhain (Awardee for Publishing) and National Artist Fides Cuyugan Asensio (Awardee for Music).
The finale was a Filipiniana fashion show designed by the country's top designers Oskar Peralta, Edgar Madamba, Edgar San Diego, Ditta Sandico, Peri Diaz, Frankie de Leon, Petra Lim, Ronaldo Arnaldo, Ole Morabe and Lito Perez.
The designer's creation were worn by luminaries and fashion icons, including Ambassador Vic and Connie Garcia, David and Mache Ackerman, Jennifer Angeles, Malou Brewer, Danda Buhain, Aileen Campos, Tess Castro, Maggie Chavez, Ruby Chua, Joel Cruz and kids, Adrea Endicio, Aileen Garalde, Loubelle Gardiola, Rina Garcia, Genieve Jamisola, Rose Ranola Jordan, Rose Santiago Licup, Cora Lozada, Jessie Maloles, Ann Marie Morales, Mhel Pechera, Genevieve Qui, Minerva Racuya, Charito San Pedro, Michelle Media Sison, Lina Castillo Sullivan, Coco and Chanel Sun, Nikki Tang, Elaine Timbol, Dr. Mary Jane Torres, Flora Urquico, Sophia Yara and Mayor Krisel Lagman.

Philippine Red Cross Governor Leonida Bayani Ortiz was feted to a post birthday dinner by more than 70 of her close friends filling Cerveseria, a Spanish restaurant n Tapas Bar in Bonifacio Global City to full capacity.
Cerveseria was a popular place amongst the younger set in Greenbelt which recently found its new home in Burgos Park, BGC. Dave Mungcal III, a friend of the celebrant and managing partner of Cerveseria provided a Spanish buffet menu which consist of gambas pinchos, bread, paella cerveseria, pollo iberico, callos, clam pasta n cochinillo at a promotional price.
Friends were allowed to bring three jumbo pizzas, nuts, chips and desserts. While well-loved celebrant also received several birthday cakes from Mache Torres, Mhel Pechera, Choy Ornum Bernardo, Marlan Manguba and two cakes from her bible study group.
Thanks again to Dave Mungcal for permitting bottles of Macallan Whiskey given by David Ackerman and several bottles of wine by other friends. What a feast! You can just imagine why guests went home with happy faces. There was nonstop dancing too to the music of in-house Dj.
