(UPDATED) FORMER Foreign Affairs secretary Teodoro "Teddy Boy" Locsin Jr. was named Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Malacañang confirmed on Sunday.

Locsin served as secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs during the Duterte administration.

His appointment paper was signed by President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Aug. 30, 2022.

As ambassador, he will also have concurrent jurisdiction over Ireland, Isle of Man, Bailiwick of Jersey and Bailiwick of Guernsey.
