BAGUIO CITY: Police and narcotics operatives arrested 28 drug suspects and confiscated over P238,000 worth of illegal drugs during a series of anti-drug operations from Aug. 1 to 31, 2022 in various parts of the city.

Col. Glen Lonogan, director of the Baguio City Police Office, said that 19 high-value individuals and nine street-level drug suspects were arrested during the month-long anti-illegal drugs campaign in the city.

Lonogan said 20 cases were filed in court against the arrested drug suspects for violation of the pertinent provisions of the Republic Act 9165 or the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law of 2002."

Lonogan said that the successful anti-illegal drug operations were a result of their tenacious fight against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the city.

The police official hailed the combined government forces for their unrelenting efforts to suppress the supply of illegal drugs and make the city drug-free in the future.
