Oil companies lowered their pump prices on Tuesday, September 6, a week after implementing a hefty price increase.

Pilipinas Shell, Seaoil, Flying V, Caltex and Cleanfuel cut the cost of diesel by P1.55 per liter, gasoline by P2.60 per liter and kerosene by P1.60 per liter.

Likewise, PetroGazz, PTT Philippines and Unioil also adjusted the prices of diesel by P1.55 per liter and gasoline by P2.60 per liter.

Last week, the pump prices of diesel and kerosene jumped by P6.10 per liter each and gasoline by P1.40 per liter.

Based on the Department of Energy's latest monitoring data, rice adjustments since the start of the year incurred net increases of P31.70 per liter for diesel, P18.15 per liter for gasoline and P27.10 per liter for kerosene.
