TARLAC CITY—The death toll in the flooded areas here rose on Tuesday, even as floodwaters brought by the torrential rains late last week subsided, as disaster managers began to presume missing persons as dead.

The Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council (PDCC) reported that at least seven missing people have been presumed dead after floodwaters inundated the towns of Paniqui, Gerona and La Paz here.
