VIRAC:  Alarmed by what he described as “the growing epidemic of online-sex addiction,” NPC Rep. Joseph Santiago of Catanduanes is pushing for the swift approval of new legislation that would impose tougher penalties on cybersex operators.

“We are gravely worried that going forward as the country’s Internet users increase, illicit cybersex will also proliferate,” said Santiago, former chief of the National Telecommunications Commission.
