YIELDS on Treasury bills sold in Monday’s auction slightly rose, as investors expect the Supreme Court to lift its suspension of the expanded value-added tax (VAT) law.

The 91-day T-bill rate, which banks use in pricing their loans, rose by 3.3 basis points to 5.622 percent. The Bureau of Treasury sold P2 billion of the three-month debt paper even as investors were willing to buy as much as P3.475 billion.
