While she has probably portrayed the extreme personas of being a mother—from the scheming and vengeful Criselda Barrameda in the television drama Agua Bendita to the doting Almira del Valle in Mara Clara—actress Dimples Romana admits to feeling quite shy about her real life role of being a mother.

“Don’t get me wrong, I am a very happy and proud of my eight-year-old daughter Cal, pero mahiyain talaga ako as a mommy,” Dimples told The Manila Times at the press launch of the Promil iShine Talent Camp, which she hosts together with Matteo Guidicelli and Xian Lim.
